REVIEW: Kayman Beauty's Golden Cocoon Multi Element Masks (MEM)

Hi guys! This will be my first skincare product review ever and I chose to review Kayman Beauty's sheet masks. My first ever product from Kayman was the Rosa Glow Essence and it did wonders to my skin! Will review about it soon in a 'favourite skincare products' post. So lets move on to the review!

p/s: please don't expect a professional review here haha

The sheet masks are sold in a box of 5 pieces for RM59. There's only one sheet mask in the photo because I already used up most of them. The box isn't as sturdy but oklah to sell 5 pieces. As you can see in the picture, the sheet mask packaging is rather rough than glossy unlike the sheet masks sold in the market. However, it's satisfying to tear off the packaging cause its like paper. 😂

What it claims:

KaymanBeauty MEM: Multi Element Mask is formulated with premium elements from golden cocoon. This mask gives the skin brightening, maintain radiant and luminous skin. It will also provide high moisturisation. The MEM mask is made of a tensel sheet from banana fibers and feels very soft and gentle to the skin. It helps to deliver active ingredients and penetrate high concentrated ingredients to the skin.

Ingredients:

Texture:

For the sheet mask - it's really thick, yellowish in colour and soft as it claims to be! I was really shocked when I first touched the sheet mask tbh. The only sheet masks I use in my skincare routine are from Innisfree and sometimes Dr. Morita. Their sheet masks are very thin but it's not a big deal to me.

Essence wise - the essence, too, is very thick and milky. KaymanBeauty is so generous with the essence amount! Even after using the mask, you would still have a lot of the essence balance you can use in your skincare routine.

What I think:

Comparing sheet masks from Innisfree and Dr Morita, I would say this would be my least favourite. Despite the generous amount of essence they give, one thing that bothers me the most is the parfum in the ingredients. The sheet masks smell like Lovely Lace (if you remember that cute store selling fancy stuffs and teddy bears). Everytime I wear the mask, my face would sting a little. I don't have sensitive skin but I think it's mostly because of the parfum. I've never had problems with fragrance in skincare products before but since I started using this product I'm gonna be extra careful next time. Plus even though bau dia sedap, lama lama rasa rimas dengan scent dia sebab kuat sangat. #ehmelayupulak

Also, I've read reviews from other people too and the mask kinda gave their skin a bouncy effect because it's moisturizing? I only felt it before rinsing the essence of my face. Unlike Innisfree, it doesn't have a long-lasting moisturizing effect on my skin. Maybe my skin is a little too dehydrated inside but who knows. 😂

Final verdict

Would I repurchase? No. With the not-so-obvious good results I get from it, I wouldn't spend another RM59 for 5 sheet masks. I'm gonna stick with my Innisfree masks which literally cost me RM5 per piece haha.

Would I recommend this product? 50-50. If you think it might suit you like other people then go ahead! Make sure your skin will be okay with the fragrance btw.

Where can I buy this? I bought this with a Kuantan agent because I wanted it ASAP haritu. You can find their agents in Twitter! Just use the search feature or you can directly go to their website www.kaymanbeauty.com

That's all! Thanks for reading. I'll try reviewing more skincare products soon.
